Every year our firm sponsors an event put on by Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy to raise money to help those in need in the Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, and Washington County areas. Here at Gardberg and Kemmerly, we focus on helping the disabled and many times that means working with individuals without insurance and income. These financial barriers affect treatment and medication options for many.

I have had the privilege of meeting many of the volunteers at Ozanam and their fearless leader, Ms. Shearie Archer and I have toured the Ozanam facilities. Ozanam is the only charitable pharmacy in Alabama that is licensed and provides free prescription medications to uninsured individuals. I routinely refer clients to Ozanam for their medication needs and if they cannot help, they usually are able to at least give you guidance on what to do next.

Ozanam is located at 2424 Gordon Smith Drive, Mobile AL 36617 and you can reach them for assistance at 251-432-4111. They are open Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and now on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have seen a provider or discharged from the hospital with a prescription you cannot afford and do not have insurance to cover, then contact Ozanam for assistance.
