There are an estimated 12.84 million jobs in the manufacturing marketplace in the United States as of March 2020. Workers in this industry play an important role in our country’s economy since this industry is responsible for the creation of a product. Examples can include the production of furniture, textiles, electronics, computer work and food. Manufacturing positions are available as assemblers, bakers, technicians, machine workers and operators.

According to the National Association of Manufacturers, these workers receive an average of $87,185 annual salary. In order to complete this job, many of these positions include physical labor.
