Every year, we celebrate our Veterans on November 11.  This is a special day for our firm as so many of our clients are Veterans.  We hear their amazing stories every day and every day, I am humbled by the actions of my Veterans.  The first celebration to actually use the term “Veterans Day” occurred in Birmingham, Alabama in 1947.  In 1954, Congress passed the bill that President Eisenhower signed proclaiming November 11 as Veterans Day.  While I absolutely believe that Veterans should be honored EVERY DAY, it is of upmost importance that we have a special day to recognize and show our respect for our Veterans.

Our firm has the great honor of serving disabled Veterans daily in their claims for service connection and entitlement to total disability based on individual unemployability.  This year we cannot wait to participate in our community’s activities.  On Friday, November 10, we will participate in the Flag Raising Ceremony at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park at 7 a.m., Veterans Day Parade through downtown Mobile starting at 10 a.m., and the Veterans Day Honors Luncheon at Fort Whiting at noon.  The luncheon will recognize and honor the 2022 Patriot of the Year and the 2022 Mobile Bay Area Veteran of the Year.  Additional events on Saturday, November 11 will include the Veterans Day Celebration and Parade of Flags from 3-5 p.m. and the Mobile Pops Veterans Day Concert, again at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.

Gardberg & Kemmerly would like to thank all veterans for their service to our country.  We appreciate and honor your sacrifice.
