If you have a phone and a Social Security number, then you have likely gotten calls over the years regarding scammers contacting you to say your Social Security number has been compromised. Perhaps they wanted you to pay a fee to fix it or confirm all your other private information and then they really ruin your credit and financial future.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) issued a notice to all ssa.gov account holders stating that March 9, 2023 is National Slam the Scam Day. SSA gives you the following guidelines to recognize Social Security-related scams and stop scammers from stealing your money and personal information.
